Yet behind this general idea, there lies a whole complex of processes performed by the professional translators: finding the right words and expressions, using correct grammar and syntax, choosing the necessary register and style in order to produce a fluent text that seamlessly conveys the meaning of the original and fulfils the author’s intention. We don’t translate words - we translate hearts and minds. That is why I love saying that I provide translations with sense and sensibility.
